Dr. Asal Caskey: Practice Owner/Medical Director
Hi! I’m Asal Caskey and the owner of Spring Mill Veterinary Hospital. I have been a veterinarian in general practice and emergency medicine for over 15 years, working in both PA on the main line and in NJ. I graduated from UPenn School of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and went on to complete a 1-year rotating internship at CARES in Langhorne. After my internship training was complete, I spent 3 years working exclusively in emergency medicine. There, I was able to not only gain a great deal of experience but was really humbled and in awe of witnessing the human animal bond. I also came to understand the emotional difficulties that come with being a pet parent facing hard medical decisions. I spent the next 9 years working on the main line as a general practitioner and really loved having a rapport with my regular clients. Here I was able to learn more about my patients and their families’ lives and worked with my clients to have positive outcomes for their pets’ long-term health.
I have 2 amazing daughters who are both animal lovers, nature explorers, empathic friends, and imaginators. I cannot wait to see who they become as they grow! Our home would not be complete without our furry family: Mr. Wall-E McWallington the 3rd, as pictured! Little Miss MishMish the mud princess shih poo. And our two cuddly cats: Mama cat and her big baby Growl Growl.
I am so excited to be able to be a part of this community and cannot wait to meet you and your fur babies!

Dr. Katie Reilly
Dr. Reilly grew up locally in Plymouth Meeting and attended Plymouth-Whitemarsh High School. She grew up with dogs and various small mammals and fish, but has always loved all animals.
She attended Villanova University for her undergraduate studies, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology. While at Villanova, she worked in various roles at veterinary hospitals and traveled to Peru for a veterinary outreach trip. These experiences cemented her love for medicine and for helping animals and people, which led her to veterinary school.
Dr. Reilly attended veterinary school at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in the top of her class. Within veterinary medicine, she especially enjoys internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and physical rehabilitation.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, horseback riding, and trying restaurants around Philadelphia. She currently does not have any pets, but is looking forward to adopting in the near future. She is very excited to serve the community she grew up in at Spring Mill Vet and cannot wait to meet you and your pets!

Dr. Eleni Healey
Greetings! I'm Eleni Healey. I grew up in New York City and graduated from Cornell College of Veterinary Medicine. I moved to UPenn for specialty training, fell in love with Philly, and decided to stay. After years of practicing in the city I am excited to move up the Main Line to join the team at Spring Mill Veterinary Hospital.
I have had the pleasure of providing care for family pets, pets in shelter and foster care, and community cats through trap-neuter-return (TNR) programs. These diverse experiences have opened my eyes to the importance of the human-animal bond in maximizing health outcomes and life satisfaction, both for pets and their caregivers.
I perform a variety of surgeries including minimally invasive spay/neuter, mass removals, wound care, abdominal surgeries, eye and ear procedures, dental surgery and more. I've published research on a range of topics, and I stay up to date on the latest veterinary practices. I am passionate about collaborating with families to create personalized, practical treatment plans to best serve pets' healthcare needs.
I live in Philly with my husband Devon, a zoologist from South Africa studying chameleons. I am a black belt and spend much of my free time training and teaching karate and self defense. When I'm not at the dojo, you can find me out with my husband cycling, running, or walking our dog Ody along the Schuylkill River Trail.

Alison Nieves: Client Service Representative
Hello my name is Alison! I’ve been a lover of animals since I was a little girl and I was always fascinated by them.
I've had pets my whole life and my first dog was a Dachshund and she was with me until I was 18. I also briefly lived on a farm in Puerto Rico where I enjoyed helping my grandfather care for our chickens. I now have two cats, Tarot and Devi, and a Newfie named Ella. I'm also a mother of two and just had my second son recently.
I’ve been working in customer service for 25 years and used those skills to get into customer service in veterinary hospitals. My love for animals increased when I started working at Hickory Veterinary and Specialty Hospital. Not only was I a CSR there but I was a tech assistant, as well, which made me appreciate veterinary medicine even more.
I am happy to have joined to the Spring Mill Vet Family!
